Hahaha…. I should fess up considering I leave in around six hours. SO UH I’VE MENTIONED IT HERE AND THERE but SURPRISE, I’M GOING TO THE UNITED KINGDOM??

Here’s my little path, starting in London, to Camberley, back to London, training up to Edinburgh, then driving up to Inverness, Skye, and then trailing down the Lowlands to Dumfries and Galloway.

I’m going primarily for helping my mom with research for her next novels, and tours! Yaaay.

SO UH… I’ll try to pop on every now and again, I will have internet access, I’ll just be a little MIA.

It’s funny you say that!

My mother worked about 15 years as a radio personality, working in Pittsburgh, Detroit, and finally settling in Louisville. She introduced everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Ray Charles! During the early 80s she was a music director in Detroit. My mom worked in radio for WHAS; my Dad worked as the broadcasting engineer. She had her accent kind of lifted for radio work; and since I learned from her, I kind of. Sound like her, haha. So while I’m from Kentucky (and while I admit my accent has gotten worse since being home again), I still don’t sound like a typical Kentuckian.

The 'hutch' of the desk. I loved the latticework! I'm going to use it as a bookshelf though.

The desk! It's described as "pickled"(?!) wood. Whatever, this sucker's gonna get painted.

Media shelf! Also my heart shelf. Gonna paint the heart shelf but leave the media center as-is.

Antique medicine cabinet! Also gonna leave the color of this alone.

If you can see past all the junk... This is my grandparent's Ice Cream Parlor table and chairs! I'm going to put cushioned seats on the chairs, but otherwise leave the wood intact. It's lovely!
